Some Climb to get to Terrapin
shirt: Banana Republic ~ skirt: Necessary Objects via Century 21 ~ shoes: Elle via Kohls ~ bracelets: all gifts ~ earrings: Verve
Date: August 3, 2010
Ensemble message: Going with yesterday’s theme, this shirt is another item that I have not worn in a long while. I’m not thrilled with the shape – it’s blousy but nipped in at the bottom. Tucked into this skirt, however, I like it better! Add some turquoise earrings for color, ethnic-looking bracelet for interest, and sandal/booties for a touch of toughness, and I was ready for work!
I’m getting braver these days, guys! I’ve been taking pictures on a more populated path! By more populated, I mean that about 8 people total passed me by today ;) But it was so dark and dreary when I got to the park, I knew I had to take the popular path to a decent clearing. This bridge and pond were perfect, and the sun broke through right as I got there:
While I was there, an older Asian couple called me over to point out a large turtle in the pond – “Look! A turtle… lucky day!” :) Apparently, it’s rare to see this turtle at all, let alone swimming around. He was covered in slime and algae, and little minnows were feasting right off his shell.
What a great way to start off my day!
