Ensemble message:  Last night was one of THOSE nights.  I stood in my lovely walk-in closet, surrounded by clothes… and somehow had nothing to wear.  I felt obliged to wear a dress I haven’t worn in awhile, but wanted to add more to it.  I added this scarf, but it just didn’t feel right.  I was over-complicating things in my head, so I went to bed and hoped for the best.

This was a spontaneous outfit that I figured out in the shower this morning as I reminded myself of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid ;)  With fall making its first big arrival this morning, I kept the scarf and added some corduroy, but kept some summer nostalgia with nautical stripes.

I also had the opportunity to don my faux leather bomber and brand new boots!  Though, from looking at these pics, I think I need a haircut… my shaggy mop, scarf, and jacket all seemed to be fighting for the spotlight :)
